Eleven Negros Oriental Mayors Ink Ties with KALAHI-CIDSS

Dumaguete City -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development joined with the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental and the 11 Local Chief Executives in Negros Oriental for the signing of the Memorandum of  Agreement for the implementation of KALAHI-CIDSS Project in the province on April 17, 2012 in Bethel Guest House, Dumaguete City.

KALAHI-CIDSS will be implemented in the 11 towns in the province, namely: Ayungon, Basay, Bindoy, Dauin, Jimalalud, Mabinay, Manjuyod, Pamplona, Sta. Catalina, Vallehermoso, and Zamboanguita.  The 11 LCEs are Edcel Enardecido (Ayungon), Dandilgust Abrio (Basay), Valente D, Yap (Bindoy), Neil B. Credo (Dauin), Reynaldo V. Tuanda (Jimalalud), Ernie T. Uy (Mabinay), Amor Baldado (Manjuyod), Apollo Arnaiz (Pamplona),  Leon M. Lopez (Sta. Catalina), Jonifer Villegas (Vallehermoso), and Kit Marc Adanza (Zamboanguita).










On behalf of Gov. Roel R. Degamo, the Provincial Administrator, Arnel Francisco, welcomed the Project and the participants. For the DSWD, Regional Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre and Assistant Regional Director, Nemia C. Antipala spearheaded the event. Members from the House of Representatives for the First District, Jocelyn Limkaichong, and for the Third District, Pryde Henry Teves were also present in the affair. 

The MOA Signing was dovetailed with the official launch of the Project. It started with motorcade in the morning from the Provincial Capitol grounds en route to the Bethel Guest House. It was attended by more than 100 participants comprising of the different officials/officers and department heads of the PLGU and the MLGUs, the civil society groups, the barangay captains, and the media./KC M&E Unit
